A Cinderella Story comes to an end: Louisville loses to UCONN for NCAA Women's National Championship

The UCONN Huskies were just too much for the number 5 seed Louisville in tonight's NCAA Women's National Championship game in New Orleans. Losing in a blow-out 60-93, Louisville couldn't get any shots to fall. This would be an exact opposite night for them from their victory over Baylor last week, upsetting the number one seed and tournament predicted champion Bears.

However, the presence of the stand-out 6'5 freshman Breanna Stewart from UCONN was the difference of the game for the Louisville-- they couldn't stop her. Not from the paint or the three point line; she was everywhere!

This win is Coach Geno Auriemma's 8th National Title with UCONN, which ties former Tennessee's Pat Summit for the most all-time.

Nonetheless, the Cards have a very promising future as they were the first number 5 seed to make it to the National Championship. Under Coach Wilz, hopefully we will see the Cards again in this position again soon--next time a winner.

I wonder if Baylor was sick to their stomaches watching this game? Do you think it would've went down to the wire if it was Griner and Dolsen battling in the post?

What can I say, I love fashion, but basketball will forever reign my heart.
xoxo,
Jayy
